about

From the frozen caves of Lowell MA, Ice Giant is here crafting stories of beasts, disasters, and war with their brand of Melodic Death & Power Metal. Originating as the duo of Nick Gallop and Kyle Hebner, and then acquiring professional adventurer and bass-slapper Eduardo Casella, they've stormed across New England on multiple tours with many great bands from the area.

Ice Giant's influences are: Amon Amarth, Wintersun, Chthonic, Death, Ne Obliviscaris, Rush Helloween, and Iced Earth to name some.

They've released a self-titled album "Ice Giant" in April of 2017, and will have another one (name TBA) out in time for RPM Fest 2018.
They can be ordered from CD Baby, as well as streamed on all mainstream services.

Press Quotes:
Metal Injection - "The seven track album is full of epic tales involving adventures and battles. For the overall sound, there’s a huge Iron Maiden vibe. The vocals come with a high pitch and bravado, similar to that of Bruce Dickinson. Instrumentally there are quite a lot of similarities as well, but with plenty of roaring epic shredding." Reviewing the '17 Album

Dead Rhetoric - "Expect guitar runs that align well to Teutonic power and Scandinavian extreme followers, with rhythm section work that can be very straightforward one minute, progressive and/or blasting the next. Nick and Tom excel in the lead break department, developing ideas that can be melodic, catchy, and shred-tastic if need be." Commenting on the band's sound

Acier Doux Metalzine - "Lyrically now the compositions have to do with themes of tales, war and in general depict the brutality of the animal called man. I think that they are the kind of lyrics that fit perfectly to their sound."
