Virus of Ideals is a 5-piece band influenced greatly by European melodic death and symphonic metal, often compared to artists including Epica, Dark Tranquillity, Lacuna Coil, and Scar Symmetry. The New-England based band combines female singing, male screaming, strong keyboard melodies, and story-driven lyrics to deliver a musical experience that's truly unique.
While they've only been active since early 2016, their debut EP "For All My Earthly Days" has already been well-reviewed by online publications worldwide. Matt Coe from Dead Rhetoric said the EP "...has enough versatility, harmony, heaviness, and surprises that everyone into acts like Anneke-era The Gathering to Dark Tranquillity, Nightwish to In Flames, and even a little Elvenking can appreciate where Virus of Ideals takes the listener." In their young career, they have already played many shows all over New England, including notable performances opening for Amorphis, Dark Tranquillity, and Omnium Gatherum.
