The aural assault that is Creature Machine was formed in late summer of 2013 when guitarist/vocalist Ralna Ramse, having relocated to the Northeast from California, decided to mine the local music scene for musicians that shared her passion for a raw, heavy rock sound. Her efforts connected her with drummer Jay Barnes and bassist/vocalist Rikk Desgres. With a lineup in place, the band proceeded to hole themselves up in a rehearsal studio for the next several months. Creature Machine soon emerged to debut a set with a unique sound and signature feel.
January 2014 also bore witness to Creature Machine's first EP, containing a collection of six of the band's best-received songs from their live sets. Soon after the release of their CD, the band followed up by releasing a video for their first single, "Tiny Pieces of Little Wounds". With momentum from the first EP still in force Creature Machine released a second EP in November 2014.
